Birth Pangs of the Coming Age | Chapter 14
Behold, I am sending you out as sheep in the midst of wolves, so be wise as serpents and innocent as doves. (Matthew 10:16)
Previously . . . the dollar’s collapse caused America to adopt the global CBDC currency. Nuclear war and a super volcano kill 1/4 of mankind.
Chapter 14
Lilith Thornblood
Ketchikan Alaska, June 15th, 3:05 pm
Lilith Thornblood, a German woman in her mid-forties, sat in the plush leather seat of the private jet, her gaze fixed on the landscape below. She exuded an air of controlled elegance, her silver-streaked black hair immaculately styled, and her navy blue suit perfectly tailored.
As the jet descended through patches of clouds, Lilith's expression remained composed, but a flicker of disappointment crossed her face.
Ketchikan ... of all places. Vy’d zey send me here?
Seated across from her, Lilith's assistant, Alex Fleming, glanced at her boss with a mix of concern and respect. Alex, in her mid-thirties, with short-cropped brown hair and a no-nonsense demeanor, said, “It looks like a beautiful area, at least from what we can see through the patchy clouds.”
“Beautiful, perhaps. But hardly ze location I had in mind.”
Alex reached across the aisle to place her hand on Lilith’s. Lilith turned her gaze towards Alex, her expression steely and determined.
Alex said, “It's just the beginning. When they see how well you manage here, you’ll move up the ladder.”
“Yes, hopefully ve von’t be stuck in zis Podunk place for too long. Ve belong in San Francisco, ruling over Vestern Nort America. But to get zat promotion, ve’ll need to be perfect in our administration of ze ruler’s mandates here.”
Ketchikan's mist-shrouded harbor came into view as the jet continued its descent. Lilith's mind raced with strategies to implement upon her arrival.

As the UN’s new regional manager for Southeast Alaska, Lilith wanted to make the right first impression on the people she’d be managing. And so, for the last two weeks before this flight, Alex Fleming worked with Deputy Mayor Claire Hansen to plan every detail of Lilith Thornblood’s arrival at Ketchikan International Airport.
As its engines wound down, the aircraft door opened and a folding set of stairs extended down to the tarmac. Lilith Thornblood appeared in the airplane’s door, standing tall and stately, before descending the stairs with grace and poise.
Next, two men with crew-cuts, black suits and earpieces followed closely behind, their eyes scanning the waiting crowd. Finally, Alex Fleming and four other staff members followed a short distance behind.
With TV cameras rolling, Mayor Richard Dawson, a middle-aged man with a warm smile and a firm handshake, stepped forward and said, “Welcome to Ketchikan, Ms. Thornblood. We’re honored to have you.” As he shook her hand, they both smiled and looked toward the camera. He knows where the camera is. Dawson’s a politician.
He said, “Allow me to introduce Deputy Mayor Claire Hansen.”
Lillith turned her gaze toward Claire. Claire Hansen. Thirty-ish, long red hair and green eyes. Innocent smile.
Claire stepped forward to shake Lilith’s hand. “Ms. Thornblood, welcome. We're looking forward to working with you.” Lilith half-smiled as she politely shook Claire’s hand.
Then, with Claire Hansen and Alex Fleming chatting like schoolgirls, Lillith walked directly toward the TV camera, thirty feet away.
She looked into the camera and said, “My name is Lilith Zornblood. United Nations leaders, wiz ze cooperation of ze American president, sent me from UN Headquarters in New York City to be your Souzeast Alaska regional manager. I’ll have two major responsibilities, disaster relief and implementing global goals. Wizin zree days, I’ll hold a press conference to explain what zis means in more detail. But, for now, I vant to express my zanks to Mayor Dawson and Deputy Mayor Hansen for zeir varm velcome. I am deeply committed to ensuring your vell-being and prosperity. As you know, our vorld is currently facing multiple, severe challenges, but vorking togezer, ve can overcome every challenge and build a bright future for us all. I ask for your support and trust as ve embark on zis journey togezer.”

Mayor Dawson accompanied Ms. Thornblood to the regional government building. Looks big enough, and fairly new.
As she entered, the cameras were still rolling, with local journalists following her every move.
The mayor, apparently eager to make a good impression, gestured toward the executive office proudly. “Ms. Thornblood, this will be your office. We hope you find it suitable for your needs.”
He’s gotta be kidding. I had a better office than this as an intern, twenty years ago.
Lilith surveyed the room, her expression remaining neutral. She turned to the mayor with a gracious smile. “Zank you, Mr. Mayor.”
The cameras captured her every word and gesture, noting her polite and appreciative demeanor.
When the journalists left, Lilith shut the door behind them. Facing the mayor, her smile transformed into a steely, demonic scowl.
“Zis space is unacceptable!” she stated coldly, her tone sharp and authoritative. “I can’t believe you expect my staff to vork in such a cramped and poorly equipped office.”
Dawson, taken aback by the sudden change in her demeanor, stammered, “Ms. Thornblood, we did our best with the resources we have. If there’s anything specific you need, we can accommodate…”
Lilith cut him off, “Spare me ze excuses,” her icy blue eyes locking onto his. “I’ll bet your office is better zan zis space. If so, I’ll take it, and you and your staff can move to zis building.”
Dawson’s face went white. “But, Ms. Thornblood, that office is essential for our city’s daily operations. It houses our communication systems, planning rooms, and…”
“And now it vill house mine,” she interrupted, her voice laced with impatience.
Deputy Mayor Claire Hansen spoke up, her voice cautious. “Ms. Thornblood, perhaps we can find a compromise.”
Lilith approached close to Claire, holding up her hand as if to say, “Stop talking.” Staring down at Claire, she said, “No, zere’s no compromise. Do it!”
With that, she turned on her heel and exited the office, leaving Dawson and Hansen stunned.
June 17th, 6:05 pm
Lilith Thornblood and her UN entourage arrived at the local TV station, Ketchikan News Network (KNN), to prepare for her promised prime-time broadcast. Tom Blake, the station manager, greeted her.
The studio crew bustled around, setting up lights and cameras. Lilith took her place in front of the camera. Lilith's head and shoulders filled the screen. She exuded calm, confidence, and sincerity as she read from the teleprompter.
“Good evening,” her voice was warm and engaging. “I am Lilith Zornblood. United Nations leaders, wiz ze cooperation of ze American president, have assigned me as ze regional manager for Souzeast Alaska. As I said vhen I arrived two days ago, I have two major responsibilities, disaster relief and implementing global goals. As promised, tonight I’ll give you more detail about zese two responsibilities.”
“Disaster relief is very simple. It includes making sure every citizen has ze food, water, and shelter necessary to sustain zeir life.”
“Regarding ze implementation of global goals, you might ask, ‘What are zese global goals?’”
“Basically, ze United Nations’ goals are to provide peace and prosperity to every person on ze planet.”
“To provide peace, ze UN is working to eliminate causes of conflict, which primarily include political, economic, and religious differences between nations and eznic groups.”
“Political differences between nations vill be resolved as every nation cooperates under UN leadership.”
“Economic disparities also cause conflicts. Ze UN is vorking wiz rich nations to help poor nations prosper. As Varren Buffett once said, ‘A rising tide floats all boats.’”
“Regarding religious conflicts, ve’re working to unify all religions under a common set of beliefs, values, and practices zat all reasonable people can agree on.”
“To facilitate economic prosperity, ve’re working hard to eliminate global famines and malnutrition by resolving resource disparities and inequalities between nations and eznic groups. Many times, one nation vill have a food surplus, vhile anozer nation’s people are starving. By vorking togezer and coordinating distribution at ze global level, ve can ensure everyone has enough.”
“Ve just lost more zan one-fourz of our global population, over two billion men, vomen, and innocent children, to ze recent nuclear var and ze New Zealand super volcano. Zese vere global events, and ve must react to zem from a global perspective. Ve can no longer afford to live as separate peoples, only caring for our own nation and our own land. Mankind must come togezer and help each ozer as a global community. Regardless of vhat language ve speak, or ze color of our skin, ve all bleed red, and mozers in every nation love zeir children. Vhile cultural heritage is often rich and beautiful, helping each ozer will require sacrificing some zings zat made us different in ze past.”
A man’s voice from the small audience behind the camera shouted, “Specifically, what kind of sacrifices are you going to ask us to make?”
Caught off-guard, Lilith Thornblood paused momentarily to collect herself. She tried to see the questioner, but the bright lights prevented her from seeing the audience. She momentarily locked eyes with her security man on her left, then looked toward where the questioner’s voice came from. He got the message.
As he moved to snap a photo of the questioner, she said, “Specifically, in ozer nations, ze UN has found zat sacrifices sometime need to be made regarding sovereignties, constitutional rights, laws of ownership, legal processes, and religious practices. Ve haven’t had time yet to determine vhich of zese may be required here, but rest assured, ve will try our best to minimize your sacrifices as much as possible.”
“Finally, I am deeply committed to ensuring your vell-being and prosperity. By vorking togezer, we can overcome every challenge and build a bright future for us all. I ask for your support and trust as ve embark on zis journey together.”
The TV station director said, “And, cut! That’s a wrap.”
Lilith held her professional expression until the red light on the camera went dim. She stood and faced Alex Fleming, who cowered like a pet dog that knew it was about to get smacked with a newspaper.
Lilith demanded, “Who asked zat question? Find out.”
People all over the room were walking, talking, and leaving.
Alex led the security guard to Lilith. He held up his smartphone, showing Lilith the image of a burly, middle-aged Irishman with red hair and a beard.
“Find out about him.”

Andy’s Cabin, June 17th, 7:35 pm
Andy returned home to find dinner ready.
In-between mouthfuls of venison stew, Andy said, “Did you watch the new UN manager’s presentation tonight?”
“Yes. I watched it.”
“I’ll give her credit for one thing. She’s a smooth presenter.”
Katie said, “Yeah. And she’s not bad looking either.”
“Oh, don’t let that fool ya. Remember that TV show called ‘V’ a decade ago? They had women that looked pretty good, but then you found out they were serpent-people. They weren’t so pretty when they hissed and their scales came out. There’s something about Lilith Thornblood that reminds me of that show.”
“Eww. Gross.”
“What people don’t realize is that, while the V program was science fiction, it was rooted in historical events that occurred before Noah’s flood.”
“What? How?”
“In Genesis chapter six, the Bible says angels were seduced by the beauty of human women. Their lust caused them to rebel against God’s natural order by taking these women as wives. Their offspring grew into hybrid giants called ‘the nephilim.’ They were evil and violent freaks of nature. According to the ancient Book of Jasher, they lived by drinking blood from mankind and animals. When the flood killed them, their spirits became demons, cursed to wander the earth, always seeking bodies to inhabit.”
Katie said, “So demons are different than angels?”
“Yes. God created the angels, but demons are neither angel nor human. They’re the evil spirits of dead nephilim.”
“Centuries after the flood, these giant nephilim became the titans in Greek mythology. Thousands of years later, these ancient myths morphed have into a belief in shape-shifting reptilian aliens from another planet or dimension. These reptilians supposedly take human form and gain political power to control the nations of mankind. If you name any world leader, there are people who believe he or she is a reptilian who only looks human.”
“That’s pretty weird.”
“Yes, it is. But the rulers of this world actively promote these wackos by making TV shows and movies such as V, the X-Files, They Live, and Colony. By making these stories ridiculous, anyone who believes in something similar to them will be ridiculed along with them.”
Andy ate another mouthful, then continued.
“I don’t believe in reptilian shape-shifters, but Satan and his angelic subordinates are real, and they operate in a similar way. Because they’re spirits, they’re invisible to us in the physical realm. But they control earthly nations, corporations, and organizations through people they promote into positions of leadership. I don’t know if these people are internally possessed, or externally manipulated by these evil angels, but you can bet that anyone who rises to the top of this world’s system is aligned with Satan’s ideals and goals.”
“So, here’s what I’m saying. Lilith Thornblood is a low-level agent in Satan’s global kingdom, so she’s either possessed or controlled by a low-level, fallen angel.”
Katie said, “Are you saying there aren’t any presidents, prime ministers, or CEOs that serve God?”
“Can you think of one that’s a solid Christian example, who lives like Jesus said we should?”
Katie racked her brain. “No, not offhand.”
“She wants to give us peace and prosperity? Who doesn’t want those things? Everyone can support that. We’ll soon see what strings are attached. She mentioned politics, money, and religion being the causes of conflicts, and she’s right. Those are the major reasons countries fight each other.”
Katie said, “In the millennium, we’ll have a global government, so the global concept can’t be all bad.”
“That’s right. With Jesus as King, it will be heaven on earth. But Satan and his minions control this global government, so it’ll be the opposite. Jesus said the Satan’s global kingdom will cause the greatest tribulation in the world’s history since creation.”
Katie said, “The CBDC is how they’re unifying the money systems, right?”
“Yes, along with a digital ID to authenticate every person on earth. It might start on a card or smart phone, but it’ll soon be biometric, so people can’t lose it or have it stolen. In concept, it’s a practical solution. But, in practice, it’ll give the Devil’s puppet leaders total surveillance and control over everyone with the ID. The CBDC and digital IDs aren’t bad in themselves. They’re just technologies, like a smart phone or a laptop computer. But I suspect there’ll be a moral component to getting the digital ID that will make it unacceptable for a true Christian.”
“Why do you think there’ll be a moral component?”
“There must be some moral element to it for God to condemn everyone who receives the mark of the beast, which I believe is the Devil’s end goal for the digital ID system.”
“That’s scary. What about her third cause of conflicts—religion?”
“Tonight she said the UN is working to unify all religions under a common set of beliefs, values, and practices that all reasonable people can agree on. The globalists have been working with the Pope to integrate Christianity, Islam, and the Jewish religion into one Abrahamic family for a while now. In Abu Dhabi, in 2023, the Abrahamic Family House opened. And in Berlin, there’s the House of One which promotes the same message. Both places have a church, a mosque, and a synagogue together on the same site.”
“So, do you think it’ll affect us?”
“Yes, it definitely will. True Christianity is exclusive. Jesus said there’s only one way to the Father, and that’s through him.”
When Andy bit his toasted sourdough roll, butter oozed out the back.
Wiping his fingers, he continued, “Jesus’s exclusivity is a stick in the eye to the globalists. Remember, they’re part of Satan’s world system. They won’t tolerate anyone who says there’s only one way to be reconciled to God, especially if that one way is through Jesus. As a result, they’ll label true Christians as haters, terrorists, or something similar, and they’ll try to eliminate anyone who says their global religion is hogwash.”
Katie said, “So, if all these things are true, what can we do to survive while being faithful to the Lord?”
“Good question. We need to be prepared in two ways, physically and spiritually. You know how we’re preparing physically, stocking up on supplies and gaining new skills. Spiritually, we need to be grounded in God’s word, adept at prayer, and living a holy life. We need to be bold in our testimony, and be willing to suffer if that’s the path the Spirit leads us to take.”
“Isn’t there anything we can do to defeat the global system?”
“Not in a political or military sense. Jesus told us that ‘He that uses the sword will die by the sword.’ So, we can’t defeat them with guns, or even politically—America is too far gone.”
“But we can spiritually fight and overcome the Devil’s kingdom by our life’s testimony, just as Jesus did. He commanded us to love our enemies. We’ll defeat the Devil’s global system by being blameless and harmless, the children of God, without fault in this evil, violent, and darkening world. Even unto death. That’s how end-time overcomers will prevail. It’s the same way Jesus overcame his enemies, by living in the truth and loving them sacrificially. If we do this, the Bible says an innumerable multitude will come to our light during the coming great tribulation.”
Katie said, “Our light? That reminds me of Rachel’s dream.”
“Yes, remember how she saw thousands of lights instantly appear, as if someone flipped a switch and turned them on? They started small, like candles, but as they grew brighter, they also multiplied in number, illuminating the darkness in every nation … I believe we’re almost there.”
