Best chapter yet. As a person who is fairly new to following Christ I find this all very educational. And, yes, life is better with Christ!

Thanks! Since this is a novel and I don't want to interrupt the reader's fictive dream, I don't quote many Bible verses, or explain the theological concepts that I'm dramatizing. After completing the trilogy, however, I'm thinking about starting a weekly podcast or blog to discuss the Biblical theology behind each chapter.

Would people be interested in this?

Yes, I would be interested I n this. I probably should be writing down questions and thoughts as I read. I'm wondering about the glorified saints going to heaven. Will they periodically appear before the Father as the sons of God did in first chapter of Job?

Good question, Pat.

Before I give my opinion, for anyone who reads this response, here are foundational verses to reference:

- The divine council/court scene in Daniel 7:26

- The divine council scenes in Job 1:6-12 and 2:1-7

- The spiritual victory because of the saints' sacrifice in Revelation 6:11 and 12:11

In chapters 6 and 16 of my Book 1--Birth Pangs of the Coming Age--I used these verses to dramatize the heavenly court casting Satan down to earth.

Glorified saints will be members of the divine council, completely replacing the Devil and his evil spiritual principalities in the divine council. This truth is well-developed in Dr. Michael Heiser's book--The Unseen Realm. He concluded this book by pointing to Revelation chapters 4 and 5, where:

- the new divine council is illustrated, with 24 glorified human elders circling God's Throne.

-- I believe these elders represent all saints, 12 from before the crucifixion and 12 afterward.

- the slain Lamb is in the midst of the throne

- Satan is not present. It's a completely holy atmosphere.

Now, Pat, to directly answer your question . . . "Will the glorified saints periodically appear before the Father as the sons of God did in first chapter of Job?"

Glorified saints will have the ability to fellowship in God's presence any time they wish. But, will there be 'appointed times' for meetings? There are Biblical clues that lead me to conclude the answer is yes, but these meetings will be very different from the meetings in Job. Those were adversarial meetings.

But once heaven is purged of Satan and his followers, and especially after the millennium begins, the Bible tells us there will be one 'appointed time' when saints must go up to Jerusalem every year. (Zechariah 14:16)

It's the Feast of Tabernacles, a week-long holy convocation, as dramatized in chapter 2 of my third book, entitled The Millennium Kickoff.

Instead of an adversarial meeting, Tabernacles during the millennium will be a feast of food and fellowship with God, as he dwells (or tabernacles) among his people.
