The Abomination of Desolation: Temple, Rapture, Antichrist?
Two disciples, Two Perspectives — One Call To Readiness
The Abomination of Desolation (video/podcast)
I just published the Video and Podcast versions of a deep dive into the Abomination of Desolation. It’s Episode 9 in my Birth Pangs of the End Times series on my End-Time-Disciples channel.
Episode 9 The Abomination of Desolation
Jesus called the Abomination of Desolation the one undeniable milestone of the end times.
But what is it? Has it already been fulfilled with Antiochus, Titus, or the Dome of the Rock—or is it still to come through the Antichrist?
In this episode of End-Time Disciples, I present the biblical case and then Pastor Ryan Perry joins in for a lively discussion that surprised me.
Do we need a rebuilt temple?
Is there a pre-trib rapture?
Or is the temple the body of Christ?
We have very different perspectives, but we agree on one thing—Jesus is the only way, and He calls us to endure and overcome.
Tomorrow, September 2d, pastor Ryan and I will be recording the final episode in the Birth Pangs of the End Times series. Episode 10 will focus on the Great Tribulation—from the Abomination of Desolation until the Lord’s second coming.
God at war: Humanity Caught in the Crossfire
On September 9th we’re starting a new series entitled, “God at war: Humanity Caught in the Crossfire,” about the multi-eon, cosmic conflict between Yahweh and the principalities and powers.
Pastor Ryan is studying this area for his doctoral dissertation.
He doesn’t know it yet, but it’s also the background for my Overcomers’ Treasure Map book that I discuss below.
If you’re a fan of Dr. Michael Heiser’s “Divine Council” and “The Unseen Realm” you’ll want to participate with us in this series. I invite you to subscribe by clicking the box below.
Planned Projects
Creating the Birth Pangs of the End Times audio/video series has been (more than) a full-time job for me, but I’m starting to get some repeatable recording/editing/publishing processes in place, which will finally enable me to complete other projects on my list, including:
I’m looking forward to planning and participating in Christian versions of the fall feasts of Israel, including the Days of Trumpets and Atonement, and the Feast of Tabernacles. (See Leviticus 23 if you aren’t familiar with these festivals that explain the sequence and content of God’s redemptive plan.)
Since this year is the 70th anniversary of Jubilee since Israel entered the land in 1406 BC, my ‘radar is up’ during this whole year, but especially during the Lord’s annual appointed times.
Near the Days of Trumpets (9/22-24) and Atonement (10/1-2) I’ll be especially watchful for world events that fulfill prophecy.
I think AB (Know the Times) wrote that the UN is planning to discuss a Two-State Solution near the Day of Trumpets, so we’ll see if that develops.
During Tabernacles (10/7-15) I’m looking forward to focusing on prayer and meditative study while camping and fellowshipping with brethren.
I’m planning to record my weekly video and podcast in my off-grid, wilderness campsite, using solar power for my camera, microphones, laptop, etc. Stay tuned to see how that works out! :)
Revising and republishing my Overcomers’ Treasure Map book. This book details the backstory behind Satan’s fall, the legal conflict in heaven, why mankind was created, our spirit’s pre-existence, and how believers vindicate God before the heavenly court, resulting in the red dragon being cast down in Revelation 12.
I’ve learned a lot about writing and publishing since I published it in 2017. It’ll be revolutionary to a lot of people, but I need to update it first.
Publish an expository study about the Book of Hebrews, which I’m currently teaching in our church’s adult Sunday School.
Increase global distribution of my Positive Apocalypse trilogy globally. Satan has roadblocked my efforts to get these books into third-world countries in Asia and Latin America, but I’m going to keep trying until I unlock the code.
God bless you as you follow our Savior in Spirit and Truth.
