About Maj Tom, DMin
I am Dr. Thomas J. Noss, Major, USMCR/Army/USAF (Ret.) I’ve been a disciple of Jesus since 1973, and married to Vickie Alexander since 1975.
My Background
I was raised in Brunswick, Ohio, near Cleveland. My father was an owner-operator truck driver, hauling steel rods and coils on his 40-foot flatbed semi-trailer between Cleveland, Chicago, and Detroit. Mom worked in the elementary school kitchen. As a boy, I helped him change tires, do engine work, and rode along to experience the hot and smelly insides of many steel and auto factories that existed in America’s rust belt.
Professional
In June 1969—one week after high school graduation—I was in US Marine Corps boot camp at Parris Island. After surviving boot camp, I went through infantryman training at Camp Lejeune. Since I was a reservist, I then went home to Cleveland, Ohio, where I worked as a telephone company cable splicer, climbing telephone poles or descending into manholes.
In October 1970 the Marine reserves released me to go onto active duty in the US Army. The Army needed volunteers to fly helicopters in Vietnam, and I’d dreamed of being a combat pilot since I was a young boy.
Through 1972 I piloted gunship, rescue, and scout helicopters in Vietnam. That experience directly contributed to me becoming a Christian disciple in 1973. Here’s that story.
After leaving the Army I enjoyed working as a helicopter instrument flight instructor for four years while I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science in night school.
In 1983 I got commissioned as a lieutenant in the US Air Force. I wanted to fly jets, or search and rescue helicopters, but they used me as an IT Security manager. (I did get to fly ‘back seat’ in the F-4 Phantom over the Florida keys, and in an F-16 Falcon in a dogfight training mission over the Sea of Japan, but those were one-off experiences.) Fifteen years later, I retired from the Air Force as a major.
As a civilian, I prospered as a cybersecurity project manager at IBM, Wells Fargo Bank, and other Fortune 500 companies.
Ministry
I started writing Christian articles on my Stand In Faith website in 2009. In 2014, I earned a Doctor of Ministry degree from Christian Leadership University. In 2018, I retired from secular work to devote my time to ministry.
To me, ministry is not about making money or becoming famous. It’s a passion to freely share truths God has revealed to me with my fellow disciples. It’s a desire to advance and expedite God’s kingdom. When I see Jesus, my reward will be to hear, “Well done, thou good and faithful servant.”
Personal
Over the years we’ve enjoyed living in Alaska, Japan, England, and many states across the USA—from California, to Florida, to Idaho, to upstate New York, to many others in-between.
We have two adult children and four grandchildren. Our daughter teaches math in a Christian high school. Our son is a Manhattan law firm partner.
Since 2015, Vickie and I enjoy living on a rural, 4-acre Virginia homestead.
In addition to Bible study and writing, I enjoy many outdoor adventure activities, including camping with friends at least once a month.
Stand In Faith
Since 2009, my Stand In Faith ministry exists to help international members of the Body of Christ spiritually and physically succeed as overcomers in the Biblical end-time.
Since I am financially independent, and many of Stand In Faith’s audience cannot purchase books, either due to accessibility or poverty, all of Stand In Faith’s materials are freely downloadable, worldwide, to anyone with an Internet-connected smart phone.

Vicariously Experience End-time Events and Choices
Katie Whitefeather’s exciting journey dramatizes the consequences of the choices Christians will be forced to make in the end-time.
In the beginning, Katie is a naïve, Alaskan native girl who finds herself pregnant and alone. She makes life-changing decisions, both bad and good.
She becomes a respected Army medevac helicopter pilot, but she’s forced to choose between the secular career she loves and following truth in her life.
If you want to know what it’s like to fly helicopters in combat, or inside clouds during bad weather, Katie has some thrilling experiences.
Back home in Alaska, after giving up everything she once held precious in this world, God glorifies her as one of the ‘manifested sons of God’ who are divinely commissioned to proclaim a ‘gospel ultimatum’ to every person on earth.
At the end of the great tribulation, God rewards her faithfulness with eternal immortality in the rapture/first resurrection.
For the next 1000 years she’s one of many immortal saints who lead and teach mortal families how they can attain immortality through Christian discipleship.
Be Entertained and Challenged
Enjoy a clean, well-written thriller series that includes realistic characters, scenes in the heavenly realm, and the Biblical sequence of end-time events.
I hate sticky-sweet and preachy Christian books and movies, so rest your mind if that’s a concern.
As you may have noticed in the (vicariously experience) section above, the end-time events Katie experiences will challenge you to look at Bible prophecies from a new perspective.
Starting in November 2024 I’m creating a podcast and blog article as a companion to each chapter, discussing the Biblical concepts in that chapter.
Learn and Prepare
Through Katie’s experiences you’ll learn how to:
Unveil Satan’s system of control in all earthly institutions, including: media, government, education, business, and religion.
Overcome your spiritual enemies and fulfill your destiny as a Christian disciple.
Spiritually and physically prepare yourself and your family for choices we’ll all be forced to make in the near future.

This website is free to everyone. Nothing is behind a pay wall. Jesus said, “Freely you have received, so freely give” (Matthew 10:8)
What You’ll Get
I email a new chapter to all subscribers every Friday. The novels dramatize the fulfillment of end-time Bible prophecy in an engaging, exciting, and entertaining story.
The first novel, Birth Pangs of the Coming Age, uncovers the evil world system and it occurs from now to the revealing of the Antichrist and the manifestation of the (male and female) sons of God.
The next novel, Great Tribulation, takes place during the 42-month ‘great tribulation,’ where Holy Spirit-empowered overcomers preach the gospel of God’s kingdom to every person on the earth. This book culminates with Jesus’s second coming.
The final novel, God’s Kingdom, shows the goals and culmination of Jesus’s reign during the next thousand years after Armageddon. The trilogy ends with the resurrection of the just and unjust, the great white throne judgment, and our entry into the eighth day of the Feast of Tabernacles—the next age in God’s plan.
Some readers also want these novels in an eBook, paperback, or Audible version. I plan to start making these available on the Stand In Faith website by the end of 2024.
